This is a Vintage 1973 Ideal Toys Bobbs-Merrill Inflatable Vinyl Raggedy Ann Doll. Extremely hard to find piece of Raggedy Ann history.
From what I have researched, the only other one of these on the internet is currently part of a collection housed by the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, NY, USA. Theirs was part of the private collection of the Raggedy Ann creator, Johnny Gruelle. They have told me there are several pieces which were not widely marketed, this is one of them. Measures 19" tall, 13" wide, and 5" deep when inflated. Made in Taiwan.
Gently used - Pre-owned condition. Faint age smell that seems to be dissipating the more time it spends in my home.
Holds air very well! I have inflated it and left it sitting for a full week with no air loss! There are a couple marks here and there, including some color transfer on the legs (hard to see in photos, sorry), as to be expected with an item of this age which was lightly used and well stored. Will be shipped deflated.
